My journey into art began with the gift of a set of wood carving tools, a thoughtful gesture from my wife that opened a world of sculptural expression. Over time, I realized that my work was limited by my lack of drawing skills, which led me to study further, eventually expanding into painting. Sculpture taught me how to block out form and space, and when I turned to painting, that same mindset guided me. I always start with bold color patterns, working from the broad to the intricate.

At the heart of my work is a deep appreciation for the world around me. Whether capturing the grace of an animal, the play of light on a landscape, or the joy of people at play, my goal is to celebrate life’s beauty. The creation process is one of intense focus, a puzzle of colours and forms, but my hope is that when others view the work, they will feel my enthusiasm, connecting with the same energy that inspires me.

Though I often feel my pieces fall short at first, the drive to perfect my vision fuels me to keep creating. Each work builds on the last, part of an ongoing conversation between myself and the world I love to celebrate.
